This little beaut was brought in on trade for a Captiva. I was lucky enough to bring it in, play with the retractable hard top and turbo 2.0L.
Amazing little car, and as such, was sold very quickly, also by me :)
I honestly will miss it though as it was very unique and very neat.
Goodbye Eos, I hardly knew thee.

Good get that thing off the lot before the top starts acting up and not closing! My sisters was in the shop 8 times for that before she traded it in with 40K on the clock. Nice driving car though

A friend of mine has owned two...her first, a grey 2.0T got totaled in an accident she upgraded to the 3.2 and got the last year of the V6. Man that thing moves.

IMO they are waaaaayyyyyyy to expensive though for what you get.
But you already sold it, so no worries.

Very complex little hatch. But only 9k on this 2012 :) quite an interesting car.

They're nice cars, but goodness do they get expensive new with any sort of options. 40k+!

I like it so much more than the cabrios of the late 90's

We ended up selling this one for around 23k

They had a v6 option? Didn't know that.

Powerful little things, but then again something has to move that behemoth of a hard top.

Not for very long...I think '11 or '12 was the last year the V6 was available.

I thought Captivas were rental-only?

Yeah but we receive them after their time as fleet vehicles and they sell very well on our used lot. Good gas mileage and a lot of space for cheap.

Truth. I wonder how the handling is.

and basically left over, and re-badged Saturn Views.

so that's about a 12-15k devaluation in 2 years and 9000 miles. ouch.

I wanted to go take it on the open road but Used car manager said no because we needed to keep the miles under 9k

I know, brutal right? I will say though that it was an easier sell when you point out that the car has less than 9k miles and was upper 30k to lower 40k not long ago.

Bah. Barely broken in.

Fun fact, the 2.0T makes more torque (at least in Audi guise)

So I shouldn't have berated my friend for wanting to buy one because it was a girl's car?
![]() 02/19/2014 at 09:54 |

yup although I have to wonder how much VW is actually selling these things for. I mean when I was selling Fords a 37,500 sticker on an F-150 meant you'd actually pay 28-29,5000 depending on the rebates on that given day, and if you were trading in, or financing, excreta, excreta. I guess it could be the same with these slap on a premium MSRP but give lots of rebates so it seems like a great deal.

oh no, I will agree it's about as masculine as wearing a pink polo shirt and white chinos, but I still love this car

Honestly a very good point. I just know that right now on our new Chevys, there is little to no rebates right now on them and it makes it hard because there's not much incentive there.

That is one reason Chrysler's were always a hard sell. a 200, and a Fusion could have the same price, but the fusion has 3500 in rebates, were the 200 has 2000. Plus a 200 isn't as good, but the is a lot of Chrysler product that are better than their Ford competition.
Also why economy cars are a hard sell there just isn't as many rebates or room to between the MSRP, and the dealer's net price.
Man I'm glad I don't sell cars any more. It was fun when it was fun, but man did it SUCK when it sucked. lol

I know what you mean. I'm really hoping it turns around soon. The last two months have been terrible. We attribute most of that to miserable weather conditions and people waiting til the sun comes out but jeez, it's been bad.
I'm just now seeing an increase in traffic. And for rebates, I don't know if they just don't like selling cars in February or what but when you get to offer a grand total of $500 off a new Malibu...not as exciting as it could be.

yup. Its funny how most people will laugh at a 500 dollar rebate like its nothing, but then the same person will leave that store if you won't trow in mudflaps, and Weathertech floor liners.

Almost bought a clean '08 a while back. Sweet blk/blk, 6 speed, low miles. It would be in my driveway but for the Russians at the pick n pay in Avenel NJ. After getting them to replace 4 severely cracked and rotted (and Armoralled) tires, negotiating a price, and agreeing to finance through them, I walked when they added an unexplainable $1500 charge. Settled for an Accord Coupe bought down the road.
